Your new company

A leading Civil Engineering contractor based in Suffolk, but operating throughout the UK. They deliver high-quality civil engineering projects in various sectors including highways, bridges, infrastructure, flood defence, energy, and rail.

Your new role

  • Perform daily setting out duties independently.

  • Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers.

  • Manage and monitor all site sample/performance testing requirements, maintaining records in line with contract specifications.

  • Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements.

  • Manage site service plans/drawings and issue permits accordingly.

  • Assist the site QS/Project Manager by providing relevant information for records and claims purposes.

  • Monitor and control temporary works.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies, as well as company procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive setting out experience on infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and earthworks.

  • Proficiency with Leica/Geomax equipment and the ability to transfer information from AutoCAD to surveying equipment.

  • Strong understanding of ITPs and the quality assurance process.

  • Good leadership skills and a solid understanding of construction practices.

  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout our Eastern region.

  • First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
