Your new role
A Senior Property Lawyer, you’ll provide expert, non-contentious legal advice on a wide range of property matters. You’ll manage a varied caseload, support internal teams, and oversee commercial lease terms and documentation. Around 30–40% of your week will involve sign and seal responsibilities, requiring office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Key responsibilities include:Advising on property ownership, title, leasehold/freehold issues, and disputes.
Drafting and managing commercial leases, licences, and conveyancing documents.
Supporting Care and Support teams with property use and decommissioning.
Handling easements, wayleaves, and post-disposal legal work.
Advising on development projects and property portfolio reviews.
Acting as an authorised signatory and instructing external solicitors.
Overseeing commercial portfolio terms and standard lease documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
Law degree or CILEx qualification.
Ideally 5–10years PQE as a solicitor.
Experience in regulated environments such as local government, housing associations, or the civil service.
Strong knowledge of social rent, affordable and market rent, and commercial property.
Experience setting up developments and plots and understanding sign and seal processes.
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage a high caseload.
A pragmatic, solution-focused mindset with a personable and approachable style.
