About the Role:
Hays are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interim Management Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organisation in Newquay (Cornwall) on a temporary basis. This role is perfect for professionals looking to contribute to a dynamic and expanding manufacturing environment.
The client are looking for someone experienced with year-end / balance sheet reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including year-end accounts and balance sheets.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
- Year-End Processes: Manage year-end financial processes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to provide financial support and guidance.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment, though this is not essential.
- Qualifications: Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software.
- Attributes: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
