About the Organisation
A well‑established charitable organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to oversee financial reporting and compliance during a key period of the year-end cycle. The organisation supports educational and environmental initiatives and is funded through income generated from its asset base.
The Role
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Preparing year‑end statutory accounts
- Leading and managing the audit process
- Deliver timely and accurate management accounts
- Prepare statutory accounts aligned to charity SORP and FRS 102
- Lead the annual audit, liaising with external auditors
- Manage VAT returns, including partial VAT calculations
- Supervise, support and develop one Management Accountant
- Ensure rigorous balance sheet controls, journals, and adjustments
- Maintain strong compliance, governance and financial controls
