Hays are working with a large manufacturing organisation based in Yeovil, who are seeking a interim Finance Director to help drive strategic growth and operational excellence in their organisation. This is a site-based role at a cutting-edge facility in Yeovil, ideally suited for professionals based in or around Yeovil.
This role will require someone on site for 5 days per week.
The Role:
As a key member of the site leadership team, you’ll oversee all financial operations, ensuring robust controls, insightful reporting, and strategic alignment. You’ll lead a talented team and collaborate closely with the General Manager to drive performance and support business-critical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Management
- Deliver accurate Management and Statutory Accounts in line with IFRS and internal policies.
- Ensure financial integrity through strong controls, stock counts, and asset management.
Management Accounting
- Lead forecasting and budgeting processes with a “no surprises” approach.
- Provide performance insights through dashboards, trend analysis, and business modelling.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with site leadership to challenge ideas and support strategic initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from candidates with:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
- Expertise in commercial finance, group consolidations, and multicurrency environments
- Manufacturing finance experience
- Advanced Excel and Hyperion skills
- Ability to interpret standard costings and variances
