We're seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Officer on a temporary contract in Liverpool for a minimum of 3 months, with hybrid working and competitive hourly rates.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused housing and tenancy management service across your designated patch of general needs properties.

Your new role

• Carrying out new tenant visits, tenancy audits, mutual exchanges, new tenancy reviews and attending evictions where required

• Dealing with unauthorised occupations, subletting, tenancy fraud and failure to allow access

• Managing your own caseload of low to medium level anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches, carrying out investigations, gathering evidence and witness statements and preparing casework for legal proceedings

• Carrying out assessment of needs with tenants at risk of failing their tenancy, signposting to external services where appropriate and ensuring positive interventions are implemented to ensure the sustainment of tenancies

• Responding to general enquiries, concerns or complaints from customers and local MPs

• Working in partnership with local authorities, benefits agencies, social services and mental health teams

• Carrying out property inspections, managing voids, health & safety compliance management and ensuring properties are ready to be let to maximise income for the group

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a housing & tenancy management role including anti-social behaviour case management

• Good knowledge and understanding of housing legislation and best practice

• A good understanding of Welfare Reform and housing benefits

• Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
