Neighbourhood Officer - Liverpool - TEMP TO PERM!!

We're excited to be recruiting a Neighbourhood Officer in Liverpool on a temporary to permanent basis on behalf of a well-established housing association. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) on a hybrid basis, Monday to Friday.

We're seeking candidates with a strong background in housing management, with experience of dealing with cases of Anti-Social Behaviour and other tenancy breaches. You will require a driving licence with access to your own vehicle and valid business insurance.

Your new role

  • Responsible for delivering all aspects of housing and tenancy management within your patch, including mutual exchanges, accompanied viewings, tenancy audits/reviews, new tenant visits and attending evictions where required

  • Identifying customers at risk of tenancy failure and undertaking an assessment of need/risk to implement positive interventions and signpost to external agencies as appropriate to support tenancy sustainment

  • Triaging all ASB, hate crime and other tenancy breaches within your patch including preparing & serving notices where required, working in partnership with Enforcement Officers and external partners to ensure a joined up approach to tackling anti-social behaviour and ensuring community safety

  • Supporting customers in arrears and liaising with Income Officers

  • Encouraging tenant engagement and feedback, responding to general enquiries or complaints within agreed timescales

  • Assisting with health & safety and compliance including arranging access for contractors, gas/electrical checks

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong background in housing/tenancy management with experience of managing own caseloads of anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches

  • Strong understanding of housing and tenancy law & best practice, safeguarding and anti-social behaviour policies

  • An understanding of Welfare Benefits, the ability to challenge non-compliance and working with customers who have low to medium level support needs

  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and business insurance
