ECT Jobs - Part and Full-time - September 2024

Your new company

Are you an ECT primary teacher who wants to network your skills in the local area of Wigan, Ormskirk, and Chorley?

At Hays, we have a variety of popular and well-respected schools already seeking out new and enthusiastic ECTs for their full-time posts. We are looking for ECTs who are able to teach engaging and dynamic lessons across the curriculum in their specific subject. Required to start in September 2025 or earlier.

Your new role

As an ECT/NQT you will be working with a number of primary schools across various areas in Wigan, Atherton, Golborne, Chorley, Burscough, Ormskirk and all surrounding areas. The jobs we offer will require you to have previous relevant experience, and you may be expected to follow lesson plans and deliver.

We can offer you day-to-day positions to build up your network of contacts and schools, short-term contracts as well as long-term positions which can last more than a term and could lead to permanent employment. We also work with our primary schools on an exclusive basis to help fill their permanent positions, so you may not hear about these jobs elsewhere.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate while gaining invaluable working experience with the potential of being paid to scale on a long-term assignment. You will receive continued support from your experienced personal consultant who has forged strong relationships with local schools, along with free career development courses and free CV and interview advice.
