Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Hours: 8:30 - 3:30
Rate of Pay: Depending on Experience

Your new role

We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join the team. This role is ideal if you're looking for flexibility or a long-term position while still making a meaningful difference.

You will:
  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with additional needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD).
  • Work across Primary and Secondary classrooms, adapting to different age groups and learning levels.
  • Assist teachers with tailored learning plans linked to EHCP targets.
  • Encourage communication, social interaction, and independence.
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or youth work backgrounds considered).
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work across both Primary and Secondary age groups.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
