This is an outstanding opportunity for a property professional looking to develop their career within a unique and varied estate that combines commercial property, rural assets, residential holdings, recreation sites and environmental land management.
Based in Nottinghamshire, this role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio spanning woodlands, open habitats, commercial premises, farms, residential properties, telecommunications sites and recreational assets across a large geographical region.

Your new role

Working as part of a collaborative team of surveyors and estate professionals, you will provide professional estate management advice to operational and recreation teams whilst managing a varied portfolio of property interests.
The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of landlord and tenant matters, estate management activities and strategic property projects, making this an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a genuinely diverse surveying role.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing landlord and tenant relationships across commercial, residential and rural assets.
  • Negotiating new lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals and licences.
  • Supporting leisure, recreation and development projects through the preparation and management of agreements.
  • Managing wayleaves, easements and utility agreements.
  • Providing property advice to operational teams and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the management of legal matters including property disputes, boundary issues and third-party claims.
  • Undertaking and assisting with property valuations for reporting purposes.
  • Supporting strategic estate management initiatives and investment projects.
  • Working closely with colleagues and external consultants to maximise the value and long-term sustainability of the estate.
  • Contributing to emerging projects involving renewable energy and Biodiversity Net Gain initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within rural practice, estate management or mixed-use property portfolios.
You will ideally possess:
  • MRICS or AssocRICS membership, or be actively working towards professional qualification with relevant experience.
  • Experience managing commercial, residential and/or rural property interests.
  • Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and property management practices.
  • Experience of negotiating leases, licences and other property agreements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to analyse complex property issues and deliver practical solutions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and property management systems.
Desirable experience includes:
  • RICS Red Book valuation experience.
  • Registered Valuer status or working towards accreditation.
  • Exposure to rural estates, environmental land management or public-sector property portfolios.

What you'll get in return

This organisation offers a unique opportunity to work across one of the UK's most diverse property portfolios while contributing to environmental sustainability, public access and long-term asset stewardship.
Benefits include:
  • Salary of £40,388 - £43,482.
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
  • Civil Service pension contribution of approximately 29%.
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing with service, plus bank holidays.
  • Professional development and structured career progression.
