Product Design Engineer

Your new role
As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of innovative products from concept through to manufacture. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in ensuring that products meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing new products using 3D CAD software
- Producing detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Supporting product development from concept through prototyping to production
- Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams
- Conducting testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Contributing to design reviews and problem-solving initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience in product design within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with design for manufacture (DFM) and product lifecycle processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive and innovative approach to design challenges
Desirable:
- Experience with prototyping and testing
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Exposure to project management or NPI environments
