Subject to candidate expectations based on experience
In-house role for solicitors/CILEx lawyers with quality in-depth litigation experience.
I am looking to speak with candidates who have significant litigation experience about an exciting in-house opportunity that can offer a wide range of work and provide opportunities to upskill / focus on specific aspects of litigation work depending on areas of interest.
My client is a leading name in the debt management sector and this opportunity is open to candidates who have good, well-rounded litigation experience and an excellent working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules. Any candidates who already have debt recovery litigation / Consumer Credit Act experience will be of particular interest, but equally as important to my client is to recruit a lawyer who can adapt and apply their years of litigation experience regardless of what practice area they have worked in previously.
This role will come with supervisory expectations when it comes to junior members of the legal team, so anyone who is either experienced in supervising paralegals/junior lawyers or who is looking for an opportunity to do so will be of interest for this position.
A key selling point of this opportunity is the fact that there are no hours billing targets, so this would be an excellent opportunity for experienced litigators looking to break away from the private practice model of legal work. Another big selling point is that my client is very keen to support applicants who want to get involved with doing their own advocacy – this is not an essential part of the role but as a business, my client is keen to promote and encourage their employees to pursue their interests and develop themselves in ways that are of interest to them.
Salary is subject to the expectations of candidates with the appropriate levels of experience as my client is very keen to ensure that a competitive package can be put together for the right person.
It is expected at a minimum that the successful application works 2 days a week in the Leeds office, but should applicants wish to work more days in the office then this will also be possible.
