Hays are delighted to be partnering exclusively with our client in seeking a Commercial Business Partner with strong background experience in the facilities and construction space. Our client are a global organisation based within the manufacturing sector, but this position services their installations on client sites hence the requirement for facilities and construction knowledge.
Your new role
Your new role will be responsible for managing pre-contract negotiations, developing opportunities for new and future business, whilst also managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with sales, legal, and procurement teams in particular. Your main duties will include:
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships whilst also seeking to generate future business.
- Oversee contract reviews to ensure that contractual risk is minimised.
- Work closely with the legal team on contract complexities, and also further support the sales team with customer proposals.
- Support all stakeholders to facilitate a compliant bidding process, with full legal review.
- Oversee multiple projects and ensure an exceptional level of service throughout.
- Strong knowledge of pre-construction procedures eg Procurement and Planning.
The role will be based in Coventry but will cover the UK as a geographical area, with other offices bases in the South East, North West, and Scotland.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will require strong pre-and-post contract experience both in negotiation and work with the end client, but also in understanding the terminology and complexities of legal contracts, with often complex contracts. As previously mentioned you will need to demonstrate strong experience in the construction and facilities space in a commercially-focused role, and reference your strong business acumen and negotiation skills. You will have demonstrable experience in managing Health & Safety compliance. You will require a BSc as a minimum qualification, or extensive background within a similar role.
