SEN Teaching Assistant – Supportive Specialist School Environment
Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity in a specialist educational setting? We’re seeking a dedicated individual to provide consistent support to pupils with complex needs in a well-resourced and nurturing school.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and structured classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families over time.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs).
- A calm, empathetic and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to consistency and long-term development.
- A DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
