Bookkeeper
Your new role
Hays are working with a reputable organisation in South Bristol who are looking for a Bookkeeper on a permanent basis. This role is 100% office based. Salary for the role is £28,000.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales Ledger: Raising ad-hoc customer invoices and credit notes.
- Purchase Ledger: Processing supplier invoices, payments, and monthly statement reconciliations.
- Bank Reconciliation: Ensuring all transactions are processed daily and reconciled weekly.
- Record Management: Reviewing and maintaining accurate records.
- Accounts Preparation: Preparing accounts for the trial balance stage.
- Management Accounts: Assisting in the preparation of management accounts.
- Bank Records Administration: Managing electronic and manual bank records/mandates as required.
- VAT Returns: Preparing VAT returns.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Credit Card Reconciliation: Managing and controlling credit card reconciliations.
- Inter-Company Reconciliation: Managing and controlling intercompany reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Payroll experience is preferred but not essential.
- Efficient work habits and good time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with SAGE is desirable.
