Your new role

We’re looking for a passionate and flexible Humanities Teacher to join our supply team for a long-term assignment across several respected secondary schools in the Gloucestershire area. This is a brilliant opportunity to teach across a variety of settings, share your expertise, and support students in developing a love for the Humanities. Assignments will vary in length, ranging from short-term cover (minimum of 2 weeks) to full-term placements, maternity cover, and even full academic year roles, depending on school requirements. You’ll be delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5. We welcome specialists in History, Geography, or Religious Studies, and value versatility across the Humanities subjects.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering high-quality Humanities lessons
• Supporting students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills
• Preparing pupils for GCSE and A-Level assessments
• Contributing to enrichment activities such as trips and themed days

What you'll need to succeed

What you'll get in return

• Competitive daily pay: Paid to scale M1-U1 (dependent on experience and role responsibilities)
• Variety and flexibility across multiple schools
• Opportunities for CPD and professional growth
• Ongoing support from your dedicated Hays Education consultant
