Seeking an experienced HR professional with employee relations experience for a temp role in public sector

Your new role

As HR Advisor within the Employee Relations team, you’ll deliver a high-quality, client-focused HR advisory service. You’ll support the development and implementation of HR strategies and policies, manage change initiatives, and provide expert guidance on employment legislation and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment law

  • Supporting disciplinary, grievance, attendance, and capability processes

  • Collaborating with trade unions and external agencies

  • Managing HR information systems and producing workforce data reports

  • Contributing to HR training and development activities

  • Ensuring compliance with equality legislation and data protection regulations

  • This is a varied and impactful role that combines operational HR support with strategic project work.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant HR degree or equivalent qualification with at least 1 year’s HR experience
  • A relevant HR diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ HR experience
  • A minimum of 4 years’ HR experience, including 2 years at Band 4 level or above
  • Experience working with HR information systems and producing statistical reports
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Proven experience in employee relations, including advising on HR policy and employment law
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments will be considered)
