Your new company
I am currently working with a leading provider of temporary works and engineering solutions, supporting infrastructure, construction, and utilities projects across the UK. They pride themselves on delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions. I am looking to recruit an HR officer on a 6-month FTC initially to support their HR team.
Your new role
- Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
- Support employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary and grievance processes
- Administrative duties - supporting the wider HR team
- Assist with recruitment activities, onboarding, and induction processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with GDPR
- Support HR reporting, data analysis, and system updates
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure company policies and procedures are applied consistently
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in an officer/administrator role within an HR function -
- Knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and in-house systems
- CIPD level 3 is desirable but not essential.
What you'll get in return
You will be employed on a 6-month FTC basis and will be based in Wigan with the rest of the HR team. The organisation offers hybrid working, and you will work between 2 and 3 days from home per week post training. The salary on offer (pro rata) is from £32000 - £35000 depending on previous experience. There is free parking on site, and you will work Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
