HR Manager

Your new company

Hays are working with a large Manufacturing business in Welshpool who are looking to appoint a HR Manager on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic HR Manager to provide leadership and manage all HR functions.

Your new role

As HR Manager, your role would be standalone including all aspects of HR including:

  • HR Policies and Procedures: Review and renew all HR policies and procedures.
  • Recruitment: Manage and support recruitment activities and other HR processes.
  • Employee Support: Provide first-line HR support for all employees.
  • Absence Monitoring: Monitor and review employee absences.
  • Project Work: Carry out HR project work as required.
  • Legislative Advice: Advise and support line managers and employees on changes in employment legislation.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Managing these procedures, advising managers and supporting investigations.
  • HR Data Management: Ensure HR system data is accurate and up to date.
  • Training Development: Support training initiatives across the business.
  • Health and Safety: Work with the Health and Safety Officer to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with regulations and PPE policies.
  • HR Systems Management: Manage our HR systems, including Sage and Tensor.
  • Team Building and Social Activities: Take the lead on organising team-building and social activities within the business.

What you'll need to succeed

This role is 5 days a week in the office, you would need to be able to commute to Welshpool every day and have experience in the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a HR role or similar.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent (or willingness to work towards obtaining a CIPD qualification).
  • Strong understanding of UK Employment Law.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with HR platforms.
