HR Manager- 6 Month FTC, St Albans, £50,000 - £60,000
Excellent Opportunity for an experienced HR Manager, 6 Month FTC, to join a friendly and busy HR team to cover maternity leave. This is a hands-on, operational role within a fast‑paced commercial property organisation, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and builds strong relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Interviewing: Lead the full recruitment cycle and participate in interviews.
- Provide proactive support and guidance to hiring managers.
- HRIS Management: Maximise use of HRIS to streamline processes and maintain accurate data. Experience with Cascade is highly advantageous.
- Employee Relations: Provide confident, pragmatic advice to managers and employees on a range of ER matters.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Own the new starter induction process and manage all aspects of leavers to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle.
- Policy & Process: Ensure managers and employees understand all HR policies. Continuously review and improve HR policies, processes, and documentation.
- Performance Management: Manage the biannual performance review cycle and support managers with consistent application.
- Compensation & Benefits: Support the annual compensation review and assist with salary benchmarking and job evaluations.
- HR Reporting & Analytics: Produce clear, accurate HR reports and insights, supporting business decision-making.
- Employee Engagement: Contribute to engagement activities and initiatives to help maintain a positive working culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an HR Manager in a commercial organisation (essential).
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or above), or equivalent experience.
- Strong, hands-on HR generalist experience with confidence operating in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing a varied workload.
- Availability within one week or less is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Cascade HR is a significant advantage.
