Your new role
As a Senior HR Advisor, you will support the HR Manager with operational tasks across the full HR lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:- Provide expert advice and support on HR policies, employee relations, and best practices.
- Lead on core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, absence management, and HR administration.
- Oversee payroll operations and ensure accurate, confidential record-keeping.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, systems, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Contribute to HR projects and foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
- First point of contact and support for a team of HR Administrators.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications: Degree in HR or CIPD Level 5+ (Associate level).
Experience: 5+ years in a generalist HR role, covering the full employee lifecycle.
Expertise: Strong background in recruitment, employee relations, absence management, and policy development.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of employment law, equality reporting, and HR systems/payroll databases.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead HR teams and manage competing priorities in a confidential environment.
Skills: High emotional intelligence, attention to detail, strong IT and analytical skills, and a proactive, adaptable mindset.
Desirable:
CIPP qualification or membership.
Hands-on experience with payroll processing.
