Regional HR Business Partner - 12 month FTC - Suffolk/Norfolk (hybrid)

Your new role
Hays is partnering with a progressive organisation to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a true business partnering role within a business that is firmly focused on the future, transforming operations, embracing innovation, and creating opportunities for growth.

Supported by Centres of Excellence in recruitment, reward, and advisory services, you will work closely with Regional Management teams across three sites in Suffolk and Norfolk, under the guidance of the Group HR Director. Your remit will include delivering a business-aligned People Plan and HR strategy, covering workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and change initiatives.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will coach and support managers, ensuring they have the confidence and capability to lead effectively. Building strong relationships with managers and stakeholders will be essential to understanding business priorities and addressing people challenges. You will also provide accurate HR data and analytics to support strategic workforce planning, manage employee relations cases, and contribute to regional and group-wide HR projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You’ll bring strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively in a complex environment. To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record of delivering HR solutions that drive performance, experience in coaching and influencing managers, and strong technical HR knowledge. You should be educated to degree level and CIPD qualified (or have equivalent experience). Experience in project management and working within a unionised environment would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return
You’ll have the flexibility to manage your schedule across Ipswich, Kings Lynn, and Lowestoft, with your base office in any of these locations. This is a visible, customer-facing role, while also offering a hybrid working model with up to two days per week from home.

In return, the organisation offers a comprehensive benefits package, including an employer pension contribution of up to 10%, life assurance at six times your salary, private healthcare, charity contribution schemes, a buy/sell holiday option, and much more to support your wellbeing. The ideal start date is January 2026 to allow for a thorough handover.
