HR Business Partner (Part-Time) | 6 Month FTC | 21 Hours Per Week | £54,000 FTE | Hybrid & Flexible Working

A charitable organisation, who make a meaningful impact every day supporting people with disabilities, currently seeking a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to join them on a part-time basis (21 hours a week), for a 6-month maternity cover. (Potential for something longer term/permanent).

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Direct Reports: HR Team (4)

The Role

As HR Business Partner, you’ll lead a small, high-performing HR team and work closely with the CEO to deliver strategic and operational HR initiatives. You’ll play a key role in employee relations, safeguarding, data analysis, and HR projects that drive organisational effectiveness and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management: Coach and support the HR team to deliver a people-focused service.
Employee Relations: Advise on performance, grievance, disciplinary and capability cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and safeguarding standards.
HR Projects & Data: Lead HR initiatives, manage HR data integrity, and provide insights to senior leadership.
Safeguarding & Compliance: Act as a key contact for safeguarding queries and ensure alignment with legislation.
People Strategy & Culture: Partner with leaders to embed a culture of engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Stakeholder Management: Build trusted relationships across the organisation and with external partners.

About You
Essential:
  • Proven HR generalist or business partnering experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience managing ER cases and safeguarding processes
  • Confident leading a small competent HR team
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Data literate with HR systems experience
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent

Desirable:
  • Experience in charity, public, or not-for-profit sectors
  • Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks
  • HR project experience involving data and analysis
