Your new role
As an HR Advisor on a temporary agency basis (9–10 months to cover maternity cover), you will provide expert guidance on employee relations and management issues, including handling disciplinary and grievance cases. You will lead key HR processes such as recruitment, compensation planning, promotions, and performance management, ensuring alignment with company policies.
You will also support organisational changes including restructures, outsourcing, relocations, and mergers.
A key part of your role will be upskilling managers to handle complex HR matters independently; designing and delivering “bite-size” training workshops.
Working closely with the HR Manager, you will forecast workforce needs and use data analysis to drive performance improvements.
NB this role is HYBRID – 2 days a week minimum onsite – but also involves travel to various sites and offices, approximately 30% of your time (expensed)
What you’ll need to succeed
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Experience advising managers on employee relations and HR processes
- Proven ability to lead recruitment, performance reviews, and compensation planning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- CIPD qualification or relevant HR degree (desirable)
- Background in engineering, manufacturing, or logistics (beneficial but not essential)
