Hays is proud to be working in partnership with a respected education establishment to recruit a HR Advisor on a fixed-term contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly shaped HR service and make a meaningful impact across the organisation.

Occasional travel to other sites.
Your New Role

As HR Advisor, you’ll be a key part of a collaborative HR team, providing confident, proactive support across the full employee lifecycle, operating in a generalist HR capacity, while helping shape a new service that values initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice and guidance across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Support managers with ER casework, absence management, and OH referrals.
  • Deliver confident, clear HR advice remotely and in person.
  • Advising on HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in interview panels and contribute to HR & Recruitment processes.
  • Help shape and improve HR service delivery through initiative and problem-solving.
  • Support with HR projects, in line with the organisation's people strategy.
  • Ensure consistency and fairness in HR practices across the organisation.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR advisory role.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Comfortable advising senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on solutions and service improvement.
