Temporary HR Advisor, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster

HR Advisor – Interim Opportunities (South Yorkshire)
Location: Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley & Doncaster Job Type: Full-time (Interim with potential to become permanent)
Salary: £30,000 – £43,000 (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Hybrid

Hays Human Resources are currently partnering with a number of organisations across South Yorkshire, including Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, who are seeking experienced HR Advisors to join their teams on a full-time basis.

These opportunities have arisen due to increased workload, primarily driven by organisational adaptations in response to changes in UK employment law. As such, there is a strong demand for knowledgeable HR professionals who can hit the ground running and provide immediate support across a range of employee relations and HR advisory activities.

The Role
As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting HR teams during busy periods. Responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Managing a variety of employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management
  • Advising managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Reviewing and updating HR policies, contracts, and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legislation
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives and workforce planning
About You
Our clients are keen to hear from candidates who:

  • Are available to start work immediately and live within the local area
  • Have recent experience working as an HR Advisor or ER Advisor within an employed (not self-employed) capacity
  • Can demonstrate a strong track record of handling HR casework and policy development
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Hold (or are working towards) CIPD accreditation
  • Have recent UK-based HR experience (essential due to legislative requirements)
