Employee Relations Advisor

Your new company

A large, well-established organisation operating across the North of England is seeking an experienced People Advisor to join its People function on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, you’ll support managers across a multisite, unionised environment, providing pragmatic advice on employee relations, absence management, performance issues, and policy application. You’ll also contribute to management development through targeted training and coaching.


Experience required for the role includes;

  • Coach and guide managers on a wide range of people issues

  • Support on Employee Relation cases

  • Manage long and short term sickness cases

  • Support HR Business Partners in managing any employment tribunals

  • Proven HR advisory experience with strong ER and absence casework exposure

  • Sound employment law knowledge
