Stand-Alone HR Advisor | Permanent | Blackpool | Circa £36,000 DOE | Full-time or Part-time Available

Your New Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised HR Advisor to join a small, fast-paced construction business based in Blackpool. This is a stand-alone position, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, where you’ll operate in a generalist capacity, across HR and compliance.

With a strong focus on recruitment & onboarding, training and accreditation management, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

In this multifaceted role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Leading recruitment and onboarding processes for permanent staff and subcontractors.
  • Managing inductions and training coordination.
  • Overseeing fleet administration and compliance with construction accreditations (e.g., SafeContractor, Constructionline).
  • Supporting absence and performance management.
  • Organising wellbeing initiatives, employee events, and team-building activities.
  • Maintaining HR policies and procedures relevant to the construction industry.
  • Handling ER cases (low volume) and providing generalist HR support.
  • Ensuring compliance with CIS schemes and construction-related legislation.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Proven experience in a stand-alone HR role, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and accreditation processes.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in managing recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice.
  • Familiarity with CIS schemes and construction-specific HR policies
