Seeking an experienced HR/Resourcing professional for a 6-month contract
Your new company
Hays are working with a public sector organisation to appoint a Senior HR Advisor within their resourcing team.
Your new role
As a Senior HR Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Support HR Manager: Deliver a professional, proactive, customer-oriented resourcing service.
- Compliance: Ensure resourcing activities align with policies, legislation, and HR best practices.
- Team Management: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Resourcing Team and lead on resourcing issues.
- Documentation & Communication: Develop and review recruitment documentation; ensure timely communication and completion of pre-employment checks.
- Training & Collaboration: Provide training for managers; collaborate with stakeholders for integrated service delivery.
- Reporting & Project Work: Produce accurate reports on resourcing activities; support Employee Services and undertake project work as directed.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants must provide evidence by the closing date for application that they meet the following essential criteria:
1. Degree level qualification (Level 6*) in Human Resource Management AND minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Human Resources function to include employee resourcing.
OR
Level 5* qualification in Human Resources AND a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Human Resources function to include employee resourcing.

2. Current professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development at Associate Member (Assoc CIPD) or above
OR
Can demonstrate the ability to obtain this within 1 year of the closing date.
3. Can demonstrate significant relevant HR experience in at least 3 of the 4 areas below:
a.providing professional HR advice to managers on employee resourcing matters
b.providing end-to-end recruitment and selection services
c.effectively implementing resourcing policies and procedures
d.reviewing and improving resourcing activities and processes.
4. Sound understanding of current employment legislation relating to employee resourcing.
5. Can demonstrate:

•Ability to work accurately under pressure of multiple deadlines
•Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
•Strong customer orientation
•Excellent attention to detail
6. Possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full.
