HR Advisor (Regional) | Permanent | £42,000 | Homebased (with travel regionally) | 35 hours | 4 Days Available

Hays is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected charitable organisation to recruit a strong, proactive HR Advisor – a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a values-driven organisation that is committed to serving communities and supporting those in need.

Your New Role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll be part of a collaborative HR team, working closely with managers across the organisation to deliver expert advice and drive positive change.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, including performance, absence, and capability management.
  • Support workforce planning and recruitment strategies to help shape effective teams.
  • Advise on organisational design and team structures to align with strategic goals.
  • Deliver meaningful HR metrics and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Recruitment, Reward, Payroll, and HR Systems.
  • Contribute to HR policy development and training initiatives.
  • Lead or support HR projects aimed at improving processes and service delivery.
  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Deputise for the HR Business Partner when required.
As HR Advisor, you will be confident and comfortable working autonomously, managing your own diary/workload. You will hold the ability to build credible relationships, assessing the level of support needed across various stakeholders, and ammending accordingly.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, offering high-quality advice and support.
  • CIPD Associate Membership and strong knowledge of employment law.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Willingness to travel across the region, (management of own diary and travel costs covered), with occasional overnight stays.
