Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated School HR Administrator to join Hays and support the senior leadership team of a welcoming and leading school based in the Clitheroe area. This is a key role, offering the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the day-to-day operations and staff within the school.
As a HR Administrator, you will be at the heart of the school’s administrative and HR functions, working closely with the senior leaders of the team to ensure smooth and efficient processes across diary management, HR meetings, recruitment, compliance, and staff support.
This is a temporary position, and you will need to be available 4–5 days a week from August 2025.
Key responsibilities will include:
HR Administration – Manage recruitment processes, onboarding and staff records. Maintain the Single Central Record and ensure compliance with safeguarding and employment regulations.
Personal Assistant Duties – Provide high-level administrative support to the HR Manager, including diary management, correspondence, meeting coordination, and confidential document handling.
Staff Support – Be a friendly and professional point of contact for staff queries, supporting wellbeing initiatives and HR communications.
Compliance and Record Keeping – Ensure all HR documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored in line with GDPR and school policies.
General Office Support – Assist with wider school administrative tasks as needed, contributing to a positive and efficient working environment.
What we're looking for
Experience in HR administration or a similar role, ideally within an education setting.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail and discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
A proactive, flexible, and approachable attitude.
Understanding of safeguarding and HR compliance in schools
