HR Administrator, permanent position, part-time hours, based in Derry

Your new company
It is one of Northern Ireland's largest independent distributors with multiple offices, depots and retail sites across NI. They were established almost 70 years ago and today employ over 200 people. As a result of continued success and growth, this company has appointed Hays to recruit a HR Administrator to join their team.

Your new role
As HR Administrator, you will provide essential HR administrative support, assist with recruitment, employee records and general HR processes. In your position as HR Administrator, you will respond to employee queries received into the HR inbox, liaising with the HR Manager when required. Collate, update and file employee records appropriately. Assist with the recruitment process. Communicate, check, and follow up on new starter information including compliance requirements, e.g. Right to Work checks. You will administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment, and probation review letters. Maintain and update employment records and attendance information on the HR system. Take notes during employee relations meetings, such as investigations, disciplinary’s, grievances etc. and you will ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all HR administrative tasks.


What you'll need to succeed
As HR Administrator, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar position. You will have a degree-level qualification in HR/Business or Level 3 CIPD. Be proficient in Microsoft suite and have excellent attention to detail.
