Seeking an experienced HR Assistant for Public Sector client

Your new role
As HR Assistant, you’ll provide comprehensive administrative support across a wide range of HR and OD functions. You’ll be responsible for coordinating key processes in recruitment, absence management, and learning & development. Your duties will include maintaining HR systems, producing reports, supporting employee relations cases, organising training, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and employment legislation, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
A minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (Grade C or above), or equivalent qualifications. Alternatively, candidates without these qualifications may be considered if they have at least 4 years’ relevant HR administrative experience.
At least 2 years’ experience in a busy HR environment, including recruitment, training, absence management, and producing reports using HR systems.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and HR Management Information Systems.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality service.
A full UK driving licence and access to transport, or suitable alternative arrangements.
A proactive, customer-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
