HR Administrator 3 month temporary opportunity

Your new role
- Serve as the first point of contact for people managers and employees, providing timely guidance on a wide range of HR queries and Employee Relations matters via phone and email, escalating more complex issues to the wider People team where appropriate.
- Support payroll processing for both weekly and monthly employees by working closely with site accountants and the in‑house payroll team to ensure deadlines are met, and all pay data is accurate.
- Deliver efficient and accurate HR administration, ensuring all approvals follow the correct processes and that both HR and payroll implications are fully considered.
- Manage the full off‑boarding process, ensuring all leaver documentation is issued to managers and employees, HR systems (MyHR) are updated accurately, and payroll records are complete.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new starters, from issuing offers to supporting their first day experience.
- Administer employee benefits, ensuring all staff are correctly enrolled in the appropriate schemes (e.g., Bupa, pension) and that records are maintained accurately.
- Liaise with payroll to resolve employee queries relating to tax, National Insurance, pension contributions, and company benefits.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, governance standards, and relevant employment legislation.
- Take responsibility for updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures to ensure they remain current, compliant, and aligned with best practice.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential- Proven experience within an HR / payroll function
- Proficient in relevant Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective data entry skills with an eye for detail
- Inhouse payroll administration experience
- CPP or CIPD an advantage
- Knowledge of HR Systems- Oracle HCM
