Temp HR Administrator

London
Office-based 3 days per week

Are you a proactive HR professional with a flair for organisation and a passion for supporting people and processes? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic central services team, where your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of a respected public service.
You’ll play a key role in onboarding, HR administration, and cross-directorate coordination, gaining exposure to a wide range of corporate functions including communications, finance, governance, and digital support.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
  • Manage onboarding: offer letters, contracts, new starter forms
  • Deliver day-one inductions and issue contract amendments
  • Maintain and update HRIS records
  • Support performance reviews and learning & development activities
  • Manage HR inbox and assist with recruitment queries.
  • Liaise with IT suppliers regarding starters, leavers, and departmental changes
  • Coordinate training and recruitment logistics
  • Provide wider HR administrative support including data presentation
Corporate Services & Admin
  • Collaborate with Facilities and IT for induction setup
  • Open and distribute post on designated office days
  • Provide flexible support across the Corporate Services Directorate
Key Skills Required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to changing priorities
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Awareness of UK data protection and health & safety principles
  • Experience delivering training and creating support materials
