Are you a proactive HR professional with a flair for organisation and a passion for supporting people and processes? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic central services team, where your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of a respected public service.
You’ll play a key role in onboarding, HR administration, and cross-directorate coordination, gaining exposure to a wide range of corporate functions including communications, finance, governance, and digital support.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Manage onboarding: offer letters, contracts, new starter forms
- Deliver day-one inductions and issue contract amendments
- Maintain and update HRIS records
- Support performance reviews and learning & development activities
- Manage HR inbox and assist with recruitment queries.
- Liaise with IT suppliers regarding starters, leavers, and departmental changes
- Coordinate training and recruitment logistics
- Provide wider HR administrative support including data presentation
Corporate Services & Admin
- Collaborate with Facilities and IT for induction setup
- Open and distribute post on designated office days
- Provide flexible support across the Corporate Services Directorate
Key Skills Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively
- A flexible, adaptable approach to changing priorities
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Awareness of UK data protection and health & safety principles
- Experience delivering training and creating support materials
