HLTA (Mental Health Focus) Job Available at SEMH Secondary Hospital School in Bury
Are you a qualified teacher looking for a change of pace, fewer responsibilities, or a more supportive environment? Hays Education is working in partnership with a unique specialist setting in Bury to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support the delivery of lessons for students aged 11–19 who are receiving inpatient care in CAMHS units. You’ll cover lessons, contribute to planning and assessment, and work closely with clinical teams - but without the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher. What We're Looking For:
- HLTA status or QTS (teachers welcome to apply)
- Experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or trauma
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Experience in CAMHS, PRUs, or hospital education settings is desirable but not essential. Full induction and ongoing training will be provided.
