Your new role
As Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Team. Reporting directly to the Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth running of financial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing supplier invoices in line with company procedures
- Raising and posting payments (electronic and manual)
- Reconciling supplier statements regularly
- Handling supplier queries professionally and efficiently
- Maintaining electronic filing systems
- Producing and analysing supplier variance reports
- Categorising and analysing expenditure
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Supporting wider finance team with ad hoc duties
- Complying with all reasonable management requests
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
