HR Assistant, Mallusk, £26000-£27000, permanent role

Your new role

You will join a busy HR team and play a vital role in delivering a high-quality HR service across the organisation. This is a varied position where you’ll manage HR administration, support recruitment and onboarding, and assist with employee relations. You’ll be the first point of contact for HR queries, ensuring employees and managers receive timely and accurate advice.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the HR mailbox and telephone line, responding to queries promptly.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and workflows on the HR system.
  • Preparing offer letters and contracts, and supporting onboarding processes.
  • Coordinating pre-employment checks, healthcare and pension administration.
  • Assisting with absence management and employee relations correspondence.
  • Compiling reports and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a busy HR function.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels

Desirable:
  • CIPD qualification or business-related degree.
  • Experience in wholesale, foodservice, or retail sectors
