Your New Role

As the Corporate Health & Safety Manager, you will act as the organisation’s competent person and subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. You’ll develop and implement corporate H&S policies, deliver bespoke training, and create strategies that foster a culture of safety and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising senior leaders and managers on health and safety matters.
  • Preparing and reviewing policies and procedures to minimise risk.
  • Investigating incidents, reporting under RIDDOR where necessary, and recommending preventative measures.
  • Managing and analysing H&S data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Leading initiatives to promote physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Delivering training sessions to empower staff and managers in meeting their H&S obligations.

This role includes line management responsibilities and requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, risk assessment methodologies, and best practice.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in occupational health and safety roles.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and deliver training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
  • A proactive approach to promoting health and safety and driving continuous improvement.
