Your New Role

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will help promote a positive health and safety culture across the Agency. Based in South Mimms with optional travel to London Canary Wharf, you’ll provide expert advice and guidance to managers and staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and best practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering inductions and training on DSE, manual handling, risk assessments, and laboratory safety.
  • Supporting health and safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Advising on risk assessments, policies, and project planning to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Managing a portfolio of health and safety projects and providing support for H&S software systems.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 (Level 6 diploma preferred)
  • Experience in audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical H&S information effectively to staff on-site.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Oracle, and Health and Safety software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and make effective decisions to anticipate and mitigate risks.
