We're looking for a skilled engineer to service, maintain, and repair split AC, VRV/VRF systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration units like chilled cabinets and ice machines. You'll work with leading brands such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, and LG, using your technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues. This role exists to ensure the reliable operation of critical air conditioning and refrigeration systems across client sites, supporting comfort, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
As a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split AC units, VRV/VRF systems, heat pumps, and specialist equipment such as chilled cabinets and ice machines. You'll diagnose faults, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure all work is completed to a high standard, in line with health and safety regulations. Accurate documentation, use of handheld devices, and effective communication with clients and manufacturers are key aspects of the role.
Job requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications: FGAS & ODS Regulations certification, C&G Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent, and a time-served apprenticeship in air conditioning or refrigeration.
- Technical Experience: Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing split AC systems, VRV/VRF systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
- Driving Licence: A full, current UK driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
- Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with Permit to Work procedures, safe systems of work, and general Health & Safety regulations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to use handheld devices (PDAs) for reporting and documentation.
