Your New Role

This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation. Working as a Facilities Technician you will report to the Facilities Manager.

Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Ensure all heating plant and equipment is maintained & operated, adjusting as deemed necessary • To provide electro / mechanical troubleshooting • Ensure all MHE equipment faults are logged and acted upon • Maintain all operational switch & plant rooms • Assist with the water management maintenance regime throughout the site • Assist with the maintenance of all Heating, Ventilation & Air conditioning (HVAC) systems on-site • Assist with the maintenance & repair of the access control system • Be fully conversant and competent in the use of power tools to undertake any fitting, plumbing and minor joinery tasks that may be required • Carry out all allocated tasks and duties, in particular general Facilities maintenance. This includes maintaining general fixtures & fittings throughout the site, the unblocking of sinks, repair/replacement of taps, toilets and waste pipes • Ensure all allocated planned preventative maintenance work is carried out within the prescribed intervals.

Complete all daily/weekly/monthly checklists + plan, track & close works/faults raised via the CMMS system • Assist in maintaining documentary records of all work in support of regulatory requirements examined by external authorities, for example, HSE, Insurance Inspectors, etc. • To assist / supervise external service contract providers • Assist in facilities maintenance of other company sites across Northern Ireland when required • Provide out of hours callout support • Maintain a positive & productive working relationship with all other company departments • To provide an integral response to emergency incidents, and to assist appropriately based on situation arising.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Trade Qualification - Hold a relevant Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive qualification.

Experience - Minimum of 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills - Proven mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or formal qualifications • Skilled in fault-finding and problem-solving • Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance systems, HVAC, and MHE.

Compliance & Safety - Strong awareness and practical experience in Quality, Health, and Safety standards.

Flexibility & Mobility - Willingness to work shift rotations and travel as required • Hold a current, valid driving licence.
