What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant or finalist, with extensive balance sheet and financial accounting experience, ideally including cash and treasury work. You will be highly IT literate and enjoy developing systems and processes. Available to start by the new year, you will be happy to commit to a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Your new role
Maternity cover for a key Financial Accountant role, reporting to the Financial Director.
You will be responsible for day to day balance sheet control, with a particular focus on cash and working capital. This will include:
The preparation of regular cash flow projections and the monitoring of group cash balances. You will also begin researching a new cash flow forecasting system. You will also produce weekly cash flow projections for the Group, working with the Management Accounting team to understand key cash inflows and outflows. Maintain and improve current AR and AP processes and controls. Monitor operating bank account balances on a daily basis, ensuring all entities are sufficiently funded. Plan and implement timely cash transfers, obtaining the best available FX rate for the business. You will also work with the Commercial Accountant on Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements for the annual budget and periodic forecasts. You will help the FD develop weekly reporting formats for senior management and the Board. Report the current Group Debt on a weekly basis. Support Finance Director on identifying alternative uses for any cash surplus, finding high-interest savings accounts or reducing current debt and interest costs. You will also take the lead on the research for a new cash flow forecasting system that can be integrated into our current accounting system. You will also support the FD in developing the tax planning process and strategy for the group and help develop scenario planning models for group cash planning.
