Your new role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the accounting function for the largest division within the group. This is a varied and fast-paced role offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to financial strategy and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and interpretation of monthly management accounts
  • Completion of VAT returns and all year-end processes
  • Managing day-to-day accounting activities including sales and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations (multi-currency), credit control and stock accounting
  • Implementing and enhancing financial controls and best practice processes
  • Supporting foreign exchange activities and managing currency exposure
  • Cashflow forecasting and management
  • Supervising and supporting junior finance team members
  • Producing monthly management reports, including key KPIs within strict deadlines
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes


What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will bring:
Essential:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience (industry or practice)
Strong working knowledge of Sage 200 and advanced Excel skills
Experience working in a multi-currency environment
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
High attention to detail with a proactive and flexible approach

Desirable:

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
Knowledge of tax compliance
