Your new job role is working for a well recognised higher education public sector organisation based within Manchetser.
Your new role
Carry out a range of skilled horticultural, arboricultural and Grounds maintenance duties throughout the facility, in compliance with both organisations procedures and legislative requirements. To assist the Environmental Services Group to implement high standards, and make efficient use of all resources working within a general framework of “best value”.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Full craft certificates in a horticultural and/or arboricultural discipline to N.V.Q. 3 level together with proven relevant experience AND/OR extensive vocational experience in grounds maintenance.
2. Experience of preparing reports for work completed, including recommendations where appropriate for additional actions
3. Experience of working, to the limit of training received, in the following;
- To tight deadlines
- At height using a range of manual and powered equipment
- In hazardous areas
- With a range of horticultural and arboricultural equipment
- With a range of vehicles

4. Must have working knowledge of:-
- Health & Safety legislation
- Environmental Protection act 1990 (pesticide and litter regulations)

5. Full UK driving licence.
6. Required to drive a range of Departmental vehicles in the execution of their duties.
