We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to support a school in Newcastle on a full-time temporary basis for approximately 4 weeks.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well maintained throughout the school day.
Duties will include:
Duties will include:
- Opening and locking up the school premises
- Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times
- Managing site security and responding to alarms
- Setting up rooms for school activities and events
- General caretaking and grounds maintenance duties
Essential Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service – essential for this assignment
- Previous experience working as a caretaker, ideally within a school environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Good practical and DIY skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
