Grounds Maintenance Operative – Landscaping & Paving
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep and improvement of commercial outdoor spaces. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship and has proven skills in both landscaping and paving.
Your new role
- Landscaping and soft‑ground maintenance: grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, mulching, and general grounds care
- Paving and hard‑landscaping work: laying slabs, block paving, path repairs, edging, and minor groundwork
- Seasonal maintenance tasks: leaf clearance, gritting, snow removal, and site tidiness
- Use of tools and machinery: mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, compactors, and hand tools
- Routine site inspections: identifying hazards, reporting issues, and ensuring outdoor areas remain safe and presentable
- Customer‑focused service delivery: working professionally on client sites and maintaining strong communication
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
- Competence in paving, slab laying, and basic groundwork
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Full driving licence preferred
