We welcome graduates from any discipline who are seeking paid school-based work. Successful applicants will typically have:
  • Experience working with children in some capacity (tutoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.)
  • A genuine desire to support young people or pursue a teaching career
  • Strong communication skills, patience and empathy
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a busy school setting

Your new role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be placed in a secondary school across Manchester from September 2025. You will work closely with classroom teachers to:
  • Support one-to-one and small-group learning interventions
  • Help plan, prepare and adapt teaching resources
  • Provide pastoral care to build student confidence and independence
  • Assist with behaviour management and maintain a positive learning environment
