Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Temporary Role (NI-Based)

Renowned for their skilled workforce and collaborations with leading contractors, developers, and architects, they are seeking a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team for an exciting fit-out scheme.

Your new role

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of a fast-paced fit-out project. This temporary 8-week role offers hands-on experience, with the potential for further employment based on performance and project needs. You will work closely with senior surveyors, project managers, and site teams to ensure cost control, accurate reporting, and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for the fit-out scheme.
  • Support the procurement process, including obtaining quotes and evaluating subcontractor bids.
  • Monitor project costs, track variations, and report on financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct site visits to verify progress and quantities, ensuring alignment with project plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to project documentation.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • A recent graduate with a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of construction contracts and cost management principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with quantity surveying software is a plus.
  • A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
