Your new role
As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers on the design and development of bespoke mechanical products and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers on the design and development of bespoke mechanical products and systems. Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings
- Assisting with product design, development and continuous improvement projects
- Supporting prototype development, testing and validation activities
- Creating and maintaining bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation
- Collaborating with manufacturing, production and purchasing teams
- Participating in design reviews and problem-solving activities
- Ensuring designs meet customer specifications, quality standards and manufacturing requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience using SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD package through university projects or placements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
