Pay: £90–£105 per day
Working pattern: Full-Time, Term-Time

Hays is a leading education recruitment agency, working with a primary school in Wallasey to recruit a full-time General Teaching Assistant for a Year 4 class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children in Key Stage 2 and is looking for a consistent, full-time role within a friendly and supportive school environment.
Your new role
As a Year 4 General Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities and learning. Your role will include working with small groups of pupils, providing general classroom support, and assisting with lesson delivery where required. You may also offer short-term 1:1 support to pupils as needed. You will help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a Key Stage 2 setting. You will need to be confident supporting learning activities, following teacher guidance, and working as part of a classroom team. Patience, strong communication skills, and a supportive approach are essential, along with a genuine interest in helping children reach their potential.
