Gas and Heating Engineer, North Somerset, Full time, Permanent

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas and Heating Engineer to join our team delivering essential services across social housing properties in North Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
You will play a key role in ensuring that all gas servicing, maintenance, and repair works are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory standards.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs of domestic gas appliances and systems
- Complete landlord gas safety checks (CP12 certificates)
- Respond to reactive repair requests and emergency call-outs
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current Gas Safe regulations
- Accurately complete job reports, compliance records, and documentation
- Liaise with tenants, colleagues, and management to ensure excellent service delivery
- Identify and report any additional work or safety concerns
- Support scheduling and prioritisation of urgent jobs
What you'll need to succeed
- Gas Safe Registered (essential)
- Relevant ACS qualifications (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1)
- Experience working within social housing or domestic environments
- Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence(less than 3 points on your licence)

Additional Information
- Working hours: 39 hours per week
- Occasional overtime and call-out rota may be required.
