Your new school is a small secondary school with academy status located in Burnley. The school is coeducational and caters for pupils aged 11-16. The school has an extremely supportive senior leadership team throughout school with a clear vision towards achieving outstanding and as a result, has established an excellent reputation in the local community. In addition to the above, the school offers state of the art facilities and has excellent transport links.
Your new role
Joining a high achieving department, you will be responsible for teaching Food Technology to KS4. The role is to commence from September 2025 and will operate on a temporary basis for a minimum of one term. The post is then to be advertised, so there is scope for a permanent position should that be of interest. Both full and part time applicants will be considered. As the role is long term, you will be required to plan and prepare all lessons whilst differentiating in pupil ability. You will also be required to mark and assess all work ensuring that pupils are progressing in line with their target grades.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, it is essential that you hold a teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS or PGCE and have experience of teaching Food Technology to KS4. You must be able to commence the role from September 2025 and be able to commit to the full duration of the assignment.
