Your new role


  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging, practical and creative Food Technology lessons.
  • Plan and deliver well‑structured, motivating lessons that inspire student progress and confidence.
  • Assess, track and monitor student achievement, providing feedback that supports ongoing development.
  • Help shape and refine schemes of learning as part of a supportive and collaborative DT faculty.
  • Maintain high expectations and ensure all practical activities follow safe working practices.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful learning environment for all students.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the right to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Experience teaching Food Technology or Food Preparation and Nutrition at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • An organised, reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement.
  • A passion for delivering high‑quality teaching and learning and maintaining high standards.
