Food Technology Teacher – Blackpool High School

Your new company

Hays Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Blackpool to recruit a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher. The school has a strong focus on practical learning, student engagement, and fostering creativity within the curriculum, making it a fantastic environment for both staff and students to thrive.

Your new role

You will be joining the school as a Food Technology Teacher from 1st June until the end of the summer term, working full-time (5 days per week).
In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 ️
  • Plan and prepare lessons that inspire creativity and develop key life skills
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
This is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact during a key period of the academic year.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ✅
  • Recent classroom teaching experience within a secondary school
  • Experience teaching Food Technology or relevant subject specialism
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage students effectively
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
