Hays Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Blackpool to recruit a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher. The school has a strong focus on practical learning, student engagement, and fostering creativity within the curriculum, making it a fantastic environment for both staff and students to thrive.
Your new role
You will be joining the school as a Food Technology Teacher from 1st June until the end of the summer term, working full-time (5 days per week).
In this role, you will:
- Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 ️
- Plan and prepare lessons that inspire creativity and develop key life skills
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
This is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact during a key period of the academic year.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ✅
- Recent classroom teaching experience within a secondary school
- Experience teaching Food Technology or relevant subject specialism
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage students effectively
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
