The Role: We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves inspiring students in the areas of design, engineering, and technology, and promoting a love for creativity and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Design and Technology.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards and inspires student creativity.
  • Encourage students to develop their practical skills and theoretical knowledge in a variety of design and technology disciplines.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting challenging targets.
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are used appropriately.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Design and Technology, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification and experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for design and technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest educational trends and technologies.
